Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield holds emergency response exercises like these in order to prepare for, respond to, and recover from real-world incidents that could happen here. The exercises improve the installations readiness while ensuring the safety and security of our soldiers, families and civilian employees.
Students at the on-post schools have brought letters home to parents detailing the exercises occurring there.
The exercises are not in response to any specific threat to the installation, but are to prepare for the reality that an emergency situation can happen here.
