FORT GORDON, GA – A departure ceremony for approximately 150 soldiers of the 278th Military Police Company of the Georgia Army National Guard, will be held Saturday April 6 at 10 a.m., in Gym five on 26th Street, Fort Gordon.
The 278th MP Company last deployed to the Middle East (Iraq) in 2008. On this mission in Afghanistan, the unit will be providing vital security support to U.S. and coalition forces. The unit is to be deployed for approximately nine months.
