    II Marine Expeditionary Force

CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. – For many, being in the military is a thankless job with long hours and not much down time. The command of 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, wanted to change that.

Enlisted service members with the pay grade of E-5 and below were invited to Marston Pavilion to enjoy a Warrior’s Feast here, June 5.

“The Warrior’s Feast showed the junior enlisted that although they may be senior in rank, our command still cares about us,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Raymond Hardy, of 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group. “It gave them a great motivational tool to build camaraderie within the battalion.”

The event consisted of a meal cooked by senior enlisted personnel from 2nd Dental Bn, including Master Chief Petty Officer Chris Dingler, the battalion’s command master chief. There was also a disc jockey, dancing, and cornhole for attendees to enjoy.

Navy Capt. Francisco Leal, commanding officer of 2nd Dental Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, thanked service members for the work that they have put into the battalion to make it the best it can be, and reminded them to think about their brothers and sisters who are currently deployed.

“We’ve managed to elevate Marine Expeditionary Force readiness almost 12 points … You have helped the officers do the tons of dentistry that have made the Marines and sailors ready to go to war,” said Leal.

“It’s nice to see that the command master chief and the (Chief Petty Officer) Association are actively looking out for our morale and welfare,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class Kyle McDonough.
