TARIN KOT, AFGHANISTAN – Sgt. 1st Class Lorenza Ross, company first sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, is currently serving with Combined Team Uruzgan at Multinational Base - Tarin Kot, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. 1st Class Lorenza Ross, company first sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, is currently serving with Combined Team Uruzgan at Multinational Base - Tarin Kot, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Ross, a native of Southern Pines, N.C., and a graduate of Richland Northeast High School in Columbia, S.C., arrived in theater in November 2012. Ross has served in the military for 18 years. This is his second deployment.
Many soldiers have been away from their families for important holidays, and with Father’s Day approaching, Ross had a few words for his son, Lorenza, and daughter, Ma’Kayla.
"I love you!” Ross said. “Thank you for all the great times we have shard together. (We all love to eat together!) I know that we have only begun to change the world."
Ross is scheduled to return to Fort Stewart, Ga., in the next few months.
