PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of November Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, participated in their basic water survival qualification June 17, 2013, at the recruit training pool on Parris Island, S.C.
Since Marines are amphibious by nature and expected to operate in aquatic environments, recruits learn basic water survival skills, and the qualification is a requirement to graduate training. November Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 16, 2013.
