PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. - Recruits of Mike Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, endured an incentive training session July 24, 2013, on Parris Island, S.C.
Drill instructors use incentive training to instill discipline and motivation in recruits. Incentive training consists of physical exercises administered in a controlled and deliberate manner and is used to correct minor disciplinary infractions. The length of an incentive training session is based upon how far along recruits are in training. Mike Company is scheduled to graduate Oct. 4, 2013.
