SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. - For some, finding the time to meet with a personal fitness trainer can be a difficult task. Now with the fitness centers new program Fitness on Request, participants can get a personalized workout whenever they want.
"Fitness on Request is a virtual aerobic style program offering more than 35 top quality, fun, and engaging fitness classes as many hours as the facility is opened " said Charlie Glover, Shaw Fitness Center sports and fitness director.
Six different elements are available, to include:
performance studio cycling
world-beat-dance
total-body-conditioning
all-around-step
kickboxing conditioning
yogo/pilates meld
Each of the elements offers classes that include 20-, 35- and 50-minute options with a 10-minute warm-up and cool-down, said Staff Sgt. Robert Cabana ACC 20 FSS/FSVS.
Selective intensities are available with novice, intermediate and advanced as well.
"This will meet the needs of everyone; all you have to do is follow the instructor that best meets your needs" said Glover.
Fitness on Request is available at both the fitness center and the fitness center annex and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Gym-goers will just need to inform the staff member at the front desk as to which class they wish to participate in and they will input the proper codes into the kiosk.
Group classes will be forming soon, added Glover.
“Give the new program a chance, join in and see what the future can bring to you” He said.
