GEILENKIRCHEN, Germany - With an E-3A aircraft in the background, Maj. Alfredo Laboy II assumed command of the NATO AWACS Supply Squadron July 25, 2013, here.
Maj. Laboy took the “reigns of responsibility” from Lt. Col. Norm Prue during a change of command ceremony, which was presided over by Col. Greg Bell, E-3A Component Logistics Wing commander.
As the new supply squadron commander, Maj. Laboy will direct the activities of 144 supply and transportation personnel, who support NATO’s fleet of 17 E-3As.
The University of Puerto Rico graduate came to Geilenkirchen from Ramstein Air Base, Germany, where he served as the chief, building partnership capacity, logistics air adviser for the 435th Contingency Response Group.
