CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. – Two signal soldiers renewed their commitment to the Army in a Chinook helicopter during Vibrant Response 13-2 here Aug. 16.

Both soldiers hail from the 51st Expeditionary Signal Battalion and are both multichannel transmission systems operator-maintainers.

“I love my job. I’ve come to realize I still want to do this in the Army,” said Spc. Ray Sadowski, a Tampa, Fla., native. “What better way to re-enlist than in a Chinook during training?”

Sgt. Albert Pacheco, from Milwaukee, shares Sadowski’s love for his work and expressed the same dedication to the Army.

“It’s something I enjoy and plan to make a career out of,” said Pacheco.

Pacheco not only explained that he loved his job, but that his dedication to the military runs deep.

“It’s a source of pride for me, I am proud to wear this uniform and serve my country,” he said.

For Pacheco, the choice to reenlist in a Chinook was an obvious one.

“I wanted to go up in a Chinook because I really enjoyed riding around in one in Afghanistan,” Pacheco explained. “So I figured the best way to re-enlist was doing what I enjoy most about the military.”
