SEAGOVILLE, Texas - After a send off ceremony held Sunday, Sept. 22, Engineer soldiers from the 284th Engineer Company leave Monday for mobilization training preparing them for construction missions in Afghanistan.
The 284th serves under direct command of the 961st Engineer Battalion in Seagoville/Dallas, Texas with brigade command and control of the 420th Engineer Brigade in Bryan, Texas.
Division-level command is headquartered in Marion, Ill.,at the 416th Theater Engineer Command.
