FORT BELVOIR, Va. - Defense Logistics Agency Energy Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Giovanni Tuck kicked off DLA’s 2014 campaign for the Air Force Assistance Fund March 14 when he signed his donation forms at Fort Belvoir.
The Air Force Assistance Fund is the official Air Force charity that funds four organizations that benefit the service’s Airmen, retirees and families, Tuck said. Those organizations are the Air Force Aid Society, Air Force Village, Air Force Enlisted Village, and the Gen. and Mrs. Curtis E. LeMay Foundation.
“As a commander, I have been in a privileged position to see firsthand the good these groups do for our fellow Airmen in times of need,” Tuck wrote in an email to DLA’s Airmen. “I challenge you to learn about these organizations so you can be in a position to assist your Airmen. With the current force management programs, this year’s Air Force Assistance Fund campaign is so important to help the unexpected needs of our Air Force family.”
DLA’s AFAF campaign continues until April 25. Airmen who want to make a contribution can contact the Air Force representative at their locations:
-- DLA Aviation – Tech. Sgt. Shannon Johnson.
-- DLA Distribution – Maj. Kevin Avery.
-- DLA Energy – Maj. Ryan Mansfield.
-- DLA Land and Maritime – Master Sgt. Robert Aguilar.
-- DLA Troop Support – Capt. Andy Schweichler.
-- DLA Headquarters and all other DLA locations – Lt. Col. Rich Fillman.
