GOA, India – Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS O’Kane (DDG 77) arrived in Goa, India for a port visit April 4.
“This port visit is a great opportunity to interact with our counterparts in the Indian Navy, as well as, an excellent opportunity to enjoy the culture and heritage of the country,” said Cmdr. James Juster O’Kane’s commanding officer.”
While in port, Sailors will take advantage of opportunities to participate in community service projects, sporting events, as well as experience India’s culture on trips coordinated by Morale, Welfare and Recreation.
O'Kane departed Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam for a scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific Ocean and Arabian Gulf, March 7.
