FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - First Army Deputy Commanding General for Support, Maj. Gen. Michael Smith, awarded a First Army coin to 2nd Lt. Mitchell Woodrum, for his service to First Army and his contributions to the Army's largest Warfighter exercises at the Mission Training Complex Leavenworth at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., May 20, 2014.
"You have a great career ahead of you," said Smith of Woodrum, who is a Soldier with the Missouri National Guard and serves as the security manager for the MTC-Leavenworth.
Smith, who is also the commander of First Army Reserve Support Command, is responsible for assisting the commanding general with the training, readiness and mobilization of all Army Reserve and National Guard units across the United States and two U.S. territories.
