FORT LEAVENWORTH, Kan. - The acting director of the Army National Guard, Maj. Gen. Judd H. Lyons, traveled to the Mission Training Complex at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to visit and recognize junior Soldiers training during the largest Warfighter exercise to date in Army history, Friday, June 20, 2014.
“I’m really proud of the Soldiers here,” said Lyons.
“Seeing them learn lessons on how we operate is really exciting,” said Lyons.
Mission Training Complex has hosted two Warfighter exercises back-to-back this summer. More than 4,000 Soldiers and Airmen have traveled to Fort Leavenworth to take part or assist in training.
“This is a fantastic example of a multi-component approach to training,” Lyons said.
