SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – U.S. Army Chief of Staff Gen. Raymond T. Odierno announced Brig. Gen. David P. Glaser’s selection as the chief of staff, U.S. Army Central, yesterday.
Glaser is currently serving as deputy director of the Ministry of Interior Advisory Group, Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan, International Security Assistance Force, Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan.
A native of Cincinnati, Glaser was commissioned through the Army ROTC program at Xavier University in 1985 and served across the U.S., Europe, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Glaser will replace Brig. Gen. Rex Spitler, selected to serve as the deputy chief of staff, Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Eustis, Va.
