LEESBURG, Va. - A member of a Civil War reenactment group from Leesburg, Virginia, gets into character as he retells the accounts of the Battle of Balls Bluff near Leesburg, during one of the groups annual reenactments. Visitors to the reenactment receive a complete account of how the Battle of Balls Bluff took place.
A group of about 20 community members from the Leesburg, Virginia, area reenact the battle of Balls Bluff several times throughout the year.
Visitors are welcome to witness musket and cannon firing sessions throughout the day.
A tour guide begins the tour by telling visitors about events leading up to the battle as he leads his guests along an actual path used by soldiers during the battle.
