TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Soldier highlight recognition is for Staff Sgt. Lance LaFoy for his effort during Vibrant Response 14. Vibrant Response 14 is a Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response Force training event based at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
LaFoy, 31st Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Brigade, Alabama National Guard, is assigned to the brigade’s personnel section and responsible for the administration of the Army Substance Abuse Program.
In preparation for Vibrant Response 14, LaFoy trained members of his section on the documents they could be using during VR 14. Their knowledge will be tested on personnel status reports, tracking units assigned to Task Force Operations, maintaining the task force’s Defense Connect Online program and the operation’s portal messages.
LaFoy, having experienced joint force exercises before, trained his section’s personnel on both physical documentation and completion of computer generated forms and management. He wants the section ready should the computer systems or connecting networks be lost for a period of time.
LaFoy is confident his Soldiers will be ready upon arrival to Camp Atterbury, Indiana, to begin tracking the units and service members of Task Force Operations.
