TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Soldier highlight recognition is for Sgt. Kerry Harris for his effort during Vibrant Response 14. Vibrant Response 14 is a Defense Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Response Force training event based at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
If something is moving in the logistics yard, Harris, 31st Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Brigade’s maintenance section, will be the operator at the wheel.
He is prepping containers and equipment for the load-out of the 31st CBRN Brigade’s line-haul of trucks heading to Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The 31st readies itself for Vibrant Response 14, a joint force exercise for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear units.
Harris is part of the advance party responsible for the unloading of the equipment off trucks staged at Camp Atterbury prior to the arrival of the brigade’s main body.
Harris’s primary task will be the noncommissioned officer in charge for the 31st’s Task Force Operations at Jennings County Fairgrounds, Indiana. He will be in charge of the daytime command-and-control for the maintenance repair shop of the 107th Maintenance Battalion, Michigan Army National Guard.
Harris will monitor the equipment being serviced by the 107th’s maintenance shop and the reports attached to them. He will also maintain and service the 33K generators that power the 31st operations and living quarters.
