FORT HOOD, Texas - The 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, will host a welcome home and colors uncasing ceremony for Soldiers with the 1st Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade at 7:50 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 13, at Cooper Field here.
Lt. Col. Cain Baker, battalion commander, and battalion Command Sgt. Maj. Roque Quichocho will uncase the unit's colors, commemorating the unit's official return to Fort Hood.
The 1st Battalion is redeploying following a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan in support of the United States Central Command area of responsibility.
