FORT BLISS, Texas – System of Systems Integration, Directorate, Capability Package hosted the Validation Exercise (VALEX), Network Integration Evaluation 15.1 Rehearsal of Concept (ROC) Drill on-site at Fort Bliss in August.
The ROC Drill brought together multiple entities and external organizations involved in the implementation and organization of NIE. The three lead entities include: Army Test and Evaluation Command, the Brigade Modernization Command, and System of Systems Engineering & Integration Directorate, who joined forces to provide everyone a back brief of what to expect at VALEX this year which will be held in support of the Network Integration Evaluation, more commonly known as NIE.
Coming together, pre-VALEX is crucial in getting everyone up to speed on the different facets and actions taking place at the Integration Motor Pool. The top leaders from each entity were present and each section briefed their part in the upcoming exercise.
Topics ranged from rules and regulations, different scenarios, logistics, schedules, and the overall battle rhythm. VALEX began in August and NIE 15.1 will begin October.
