Pinkston, a native of Houston, Texas, has three years of active duty service in the U.S. Army; Pinkston is four months into a one year deployment in Kuwait.
This is Pinkston’s first deployment. Pinkston plans to attend the Field Artillery Captains Career Course when he returns to the states.
Q: What is your favorite movie genre?
A: Action. I’m a big James Bond fan.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Easily pizza. Hawaiian is likely my favorite, but I’ll eat just about anything.
Q: What are your goals?
A: Well, today is my mom’s birthday, so I’d say my 50-meter target would be to buy her a gift. My 100 – 200 meter would be getting back into cardio shape. Sadly, my only cardio for the past few months has been walking around post. I usually don’t mess around with the 300 meter target; we’ve got mortars for that.
Q: What are you most proud of?
A: I’m very proud of my family; they’re great people – very accomplished but yet super personable. I’ll certainly miss them over the holidays.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: Well, I’m very accomplished at napping – although it’s a lifelong pursuit. I try to get one or two good naps in a week, in addition to short ones throughout the day, when time permits.
