FARGO, N.D. - Two former North Dakota Air National Guard leaders were honored today by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce during the organization's annual meeting at the Holiday Inn in Fargo.
Retired Maj. Gen. Alexander Macdonald, former North Dakota adjutant general, and retired Maj. Gen. Darrol Schroeder, former chief of staff of the North Dakota Air National Guard, were both named 2014 Legacy Leaders.
According to the Chamber, "In terms of military achievement and aviation fame, one cannot imagine Alexander Macdonald without Darrol Schroeder and vice versa. Both men were raised in Davenport, North Dakota, and both developed a longtime love of aviation and all things airplane-related."
The Legacy Leader award recognizes the important role and contributions of longtime local leaders in both shaping and serving The Chamber, our metropolitan community and the region.
For additional information about both men's accomplishments and contributions to the community, see the story here.
