    FORT HOOD, Texas -- The 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, will host the III Corps and Fort Hood Native American Heritage Month observance Thursday, Nov. 20 at 1:30 p.m., at the Phantom Warrior Center here.

    The observance will include remarks from Col. Sean Bernabe, commander of 2nd BCT, guest speaker Lee "Eagleboy" Walters, Ph.D., a presentation of authentic Native American performances, and music provided by the 1st Cavalry Division Band.

    The Phantom Warrior Center is located at building number 194 on 37th Street.

    On Aug. 3, 1990, President of the United States George H. W. Bush declared the month of November as National American Indian Heritage Month, thereafter commonly referred to as Native American Heritage Month.
