NACO, Ariz. - Federal authorities in concert with Bisbee Arizona law enforcement officials conducted arrests and seizure operations on Feb. 24, 2015.
While investigating the residence of a suspected drug smuggler, a concealed tunnel was discovered in the garage of the home. It contained a sophisticated hidden entrance complete with a hydraulic door which led to a well-built secret tunnel underneath the property which was several hundred yards long and crossed into Mexico.
The tunnel was well-shored with treated lumber, electricity, etc. There have been over 80 tunnels of varied sophistication discovered along the border in recent years.
This investigation is still underway.
