    KANDAHAR, Afghanistan – On Jan. 22, Rear Adm. Scott H. Swift, deputy commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command paid a visit to the Sailors of the Afghan Regional Security Integration Command-South and Navy Garrison at forward operating base Lindsey.

    During Rear Adm. Swift's meet and greet with the Sailors, he praised the hard work and commitment of the officer and enlisted Sailors currently serving as Individual Augmentees in Kandahar, Afghanistan. "I hope this IA experience has been rewarding for you; I am proud of what you've been doing" said Swift. Similarly, Col. William C. Cannon, Regional Corps Advisory Command Commander, spoke of the hard work, impact, and sacrifices the sailors had made and how proud he was to serve with each of them.

    During a 45 minute open forum of question and answer, Swift heard some of the deployment challenges relating to advancement exams, billet assignments, and the awards process. Both Command Master Chief (CMDCM) Jeffery Covington and Swift agreed that they would take the conveyed issues and concerns for action.
