JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, Va. - The Bolling Club held its second annual Special Events and Wedding Expo, Feb. 6, giving potential military and civilian patrons an opportunity to explore and gather information about the many options the venue and its vendors have to offer.

The club had a total of 10 vendors present from wedding photographers to stylists.

“We wanted our patrons informed and to see all the different options to make their wedding reception as memorable as possible along with being able to visualize, in person, the utter beauty of our venue. Not only do we offer our service for military families, but civilians as well who are sponsored by an active or retired military person,” said catering manager Aurelia Glenn.

The expo has resulted in a few subsequent inquiries by phone and e-mail leading to the booking of three events, two wedding receptions, and one retirement dinner.

“The Bolling Club has been known throughout the years as the ‘Birthplace of Class’ and we do not take that lightly. We strive for every event to emulate just that,” said Glenn. “Our venue offers five-star quality at an [affordable] price point. Our menu is expansive with quality that is second to none. Our staff is as professional as they come no matter the situation, not to mention the stunning magnificence of our rooms.”

The club’s heavy wedding season begins in April and runs through October, during which time the club will have as many as three events per weekend. It offers services ranging from initial planning all the way through to the honeymoon. Glenn said that the club is able to work with any budget constraints to ensure that both the wedding party and guests will find the event unforgettable. In addition to weddings, the club offers a full range of services for executive meetings, training sessions, official base functions, and concerts.
