TUSCALOOSA, Ala. The Alabama National Guard promoted Ronald M. Neely to the rank of colonel Sunday in Tuscaloosa. He is presently the deputy brigade commander for the 31st Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Brigade, Alabama National Guard.

“Today we will promote two individuals who can be described by their dedication, steadfast loyalty and unchanging commitment to excellence,” said Ellis.

Neely was promoted by retired Maj. Gen. Charles Gailes and Nina Neely.

“It is an honor to be promoted by my mentor,” said Neely.
