CAMP RAMADI, Iraq – The Raider brigade promoted Lt. Col. Noel T. Nicolle, 1st Battalion, 41st Field Artillery commander to the rank of colonel in a ceremony, Feb. 4, at Camp Ramadi's fellowship hall.
Nicolle took a moment during the promotion to reflect about his time in the Army.
"The greatest gift we can give is service to others," he said. "I'm really humbled by this promotion and it makes me feel like the luckiest guy in the world. I've lived my dream, I have no regrets, a wonderful family, great peers, and I want to thank you all for coming to see this promotion."
Nicolle, was able to share the experience with his wife and family back home at Fort Stewart, Ga., through video teleconferencing.
