CAMP MCCAIN, Miss. - Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey L. Dawson uncases the colors for Company E, Support Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group, Mississippi Army National Guard, while Lt. Col. Joseph F. Kilcullen presents the guidon during the unit's activation ceremony June 6, 2015, at the Camp McCain Training Center.
Kilcullen serves as commander, 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group, and Dawson is his senior enlisted advisor.
The activation ceremony is part of the process for adding a unit to the state's force structure, and this is the first such ceremony for the Mississippi Army National Guard in more than 10 years.
The new unit will serve as a forward support company to the 2nd Battalion, 20th Special Forces Group.
