WEST POINT, N.Y.- The Sexual Harassment/Assault Response & Prevention (SHARP) program has been the ‘front line’ for sexual harassment and assault prevention in the U.S. Army.
The Soldiers and civilian staff at Keller Army Community Hospital are committed to eliminating sexual harassment and/or assault.
Dr. Scotti Veale, Keller Army Community Hospital’s Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC), has created the SHARP Wellness, Advocacy & Support Program (WASP),which provides strength-based, client-centered services that focus on empowerment through education, promote self-care, facilitate active wellness, and is designed to increase multi-dimensional, self-awareness.
“SHARP WASP does not pretend to take the place of or intend to replace behavior health. WASP is a tool that facilitates a long-term relationship, between the client and the Victim Advocates, focused on the client’s wellness, and independent from the investigative or legal disposition of their case,” said Veale.
For more on the SHARP WASP, contact Dr. Veale at 845-937-4150.
