CAMP ATTERBURY, Ind. - Maj. Gen. David C. Wood, 38th Infantry Division (ID) commander, visited 76th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) soldiers during their annual training at Camp Atterbury, June 5. Accompanying him were 76th IBCT commander Robert Burke, 38th ID Command Sgt. Maj. James H Martin, and 76th IBCT Command Sgt. Maj. Jon E. Mitchell.
Throughout the day, they went to multiple ranges and training areas. At each location Wood spoke to soldiers about topics important to him, such as the detrimental effects of sexual harassment to the Army and its victims and the need for experienced soldiers to stay in the Indiana Army National Guard.
“I have no tolerance for sexual harassment,” said Wood.
Wood spoke to individual soldiers who are close to their ETS date about re-enlisting. He expressed the importance of soldiers who are experienced teaching and mentoring newly-enlisted soldiers.
