BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Army Reserve Sustainment Command conducted a Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment Change of Command Ceremony on Sunday.
Maj. Steven Francis, outgoing commander of the HHD section of the ARSC, served as the HHD commander for three years.
“I am thankful for this opportunity to have served as the HHD commander and I am also thankful to the ARSC staff members who helped make my tenure a success,” said Francis.
Francis relinquished command to 1st Lt. Andre Clark marking his first command since acceptance of his direct commission in 2013.
Clark was a human resource specialist with the 87th United States Army Support Command (East) prior to arriving at the ARSC in 2011. He accepted his direct commission in September 2013. Upon his commission, Clark served as the aide de camp for the commanding general of the ARSC.
“I am elated to become the HHD commander,” said Clark. “As a young first lieutenant, I have the pleasure of being mentored by senior officers, many of whom have served in this position successfully in the past.”
