JERICHO, Vt. - Three-hundred-and-twelve Soldiers, Airmen and civilians registered for this year's Adjutants General's Match Sept. 12, Camp Ethan Allen Training Site, Jericho, Vermont. There was a new process to stream line the registration this year, which not only made the registration easier, but expedited reconciling the results.

This year, the information management office (J6) worked diligently to create a location on the share point portal for Soldiers and Airmen to register their teams.

The J6 was able to pull information from the online registrations to generate rosters for the event. Sgt. 1st Class John Crispell, instructor, 2-124th Modular Training Battalion Regional Training, Colchester, Vermont, was a latecomer and able to register in minutes.

Sgt. 1st. Class Paul Morris, computer information technician, Joint Force Headquarters, Vermont National Guard, said "This year the J6 is working the kinks out of the system with the pistol and rifle ranges. Next year, there is hope that all of the data from all of the ranges will be collected this way."

Staff Sgt. Peter Underwood and Sgt. Shawn Allen, computer information technicians, entered the data at the pistol ranges. Staff Sgt. Bryan Donahue and Staff Sgt. Ryan Rouleau worked down in the pits of rifle range 4-1.

Two of the ranges had Soldiers from the J6 staff entering the data as soon as the shooting iteration was completed and the shots had been verified. The excel sheet totals the hits and how many "Vs" the individuals hit. The V hits are used as a tiebreaker.

Sgt. 1st. Class Nicholas Willey, computer information technician, Joint Force Headquarters said, " I foresee no problems meeting the deadlines this year, from the time we receive the information from the range it takes about 20 minutes, even with the increased numbers."

This new process will enhance the process in which the results are calculated, even with the increase of participants.

With 312 participants this year and an increase in participants every year, being able to handle the data timely is crucial.
