Coast Guard, local agencies team up in Charleston mass rescue exercise
CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Coast Guard and local agencies in and around the Charleston area joined forces in a joint mass rescue exercise in Charleston Harbor, Wednesday.
More than 90 people were rescue from simulated distress aboard the General Beauregard, a Charleston-based passenger vessel. The 23 participating agencies worked together to ensure the safety of the passengers while sharpening their overall communication and inter-agency cooperation.
