    3rd Combat Aviation Brigade

HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, Ga. - The new Embedded Behavioral Health Clinic opened during a ribbon cutting ceremony on Hunter Army Airfield Oct. 8.

Building 610 is a temporary building for the Embedded Behavioral Health Clinic. Also, Soldiers and staff that dedicated their time into repurposing the building were honored.

Col. Patrick J. Ahearne, commander, 3rd Infantry Division MEDDAC, spoke about the health clinic and the importance of providing aid at a new level.

“Really it is just a building, but what we are bringing you is the people that are here to support you,” Ahearne said. “The beauty is not about the building itself, but the people that are going to fill it up.”

Also on hand was Col. John D. Kline, commander, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, who after finding out the hard work volunteers where doing, stepped in to loan the support of his brigade.

“Not only do we have a clinic to take care of physical illnesses, now we have a clinic that takes care of behavioral health,” Kline said. “On behalf of myself, the 3rd CAB, the Rangers, 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Battalion, I say thank you so much to Dr. Brown-Morgan and her team for making this become a reality.”

Dr. Jennifer Brown-Morgan, clinic director, has been working with Soldiers from every unit, to repurpose the building to a clinic that will aid suffering soldiers.

“Night Stalkers, Rangers, MEDDAC and 3rd CAB soldiers worked together many days to build this clinic,” Brown-Morgan said. “To the soldiers, to the commanders, this is your clinic and we are your team. One team.”

Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffrey Bridges, command sergeant major, 3rd ID MEDDAC, was present for the ceremony. This is his second Embedded Health Clinic Opening for 3rd Infantry Division.

“It is an awesome experience to be able to partner with the team down here at 3 CAB,” Bridges said.

He described helping soldiers is “finding that missing piece and amending it and keep that soldier in the fight."

As the ceremony ended, units' slogans where called off showing the diverse but unified team that made it possible: Rangers Lead The Way, Night Stalkers Don’t Quit, Marne Air, One Team.
