    20th CBRNE Command

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md. – The 20th CBRNE Command participated in a two-week humanitarian mine action (HMA) training event in Tajikistan designed to enhance regional security and cooperation through the development of a Regional HMA capacity concluding Nov. 6.

Soldiers from the 52nd Explosive Ordnance Group, 20th CBRNE Command, conducted training for over thirty students as part of the U.S. Army’s Central’s HMA Explosive Ordnance Disposal level-four course.

The training is designed to develop a regional HMA capacity led by the Tajikistan Ministry of Defence and the Tajikistan Mine Action Center and develop the Explosive Hazards Training Center.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense, the HMA program assists Tajikistan and other countries in relieving human suffering and in developing an indigenous mine action capability.

Headquartered on Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, the 20th CBRNE Command is the U.S. Army's only formation that combats chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats. Soldiers and civilians from 20th CBRNE Command deploy around the world to counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), eliminate CBRNE threats and defeat Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
