FORT HOOD, Texas - Fort Hood officials have released the name of a Soldier who died Dec. 27 from injuries suffered during an altercation in Kissimmee, Florida.
Spc. Victor Badilloalvarez, 26, whose home of record is listed as Moca, Puerto Rico, entered active-duty military service in January 2012 as an ammunition specialist.
He was assigned to 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, since November 2013.
Badilloalvarez deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from April 2014 to November 2014.
Badilloalvarez’s awards and decorations include two Army Commendation Medals, two Army Achievement Medals, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with campaign star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, two Overseas Service Ribbons and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal.
Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
