    525th Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade

    FORT BRAGG, N.C. – This week’s "Lightning" Brigade Soldier Spotlight is Sgt. Wesley Pledger, an intelligence specialist for Company A, 319th Military Intelligence Battalion.

    Pledger is being recognized for his success during 319th Military Intelligence Battalion’s range week. Pledger took over the Preliminary Marksmanship Instruction on-site and as a result every Soldier that went through his PMI then qualified on their weapon. Pledger is now Alpha Company’s senior weapons trainer.

    Pledger, a Jacksonville, Florida, native, joined the Army in 2011 and was stationed in Germany prior to joining the "Lightning" Brigade.

    Q: What are your hobbies?
    A: Lifting weights, reading, driving, listening to music and playing the drums.

    Q: What are your long term goals?
    A: I aspire to achieve a level of expertise within the counter intelligence and homeland security field and work my way to the top in that realm.

    Q: Why did you join the Army?
    A: I didn’t want to depend on anyone and I wanted to serve my country.

    Q: What is your favorite part about being a Soldier?
    A: Representing the U.S. as whole and I take pride in that.

    Q: Which duty station has been your favorite thus far?
    A: Fort Bragg, because I’m able to drive to visit my family.

    Q: What is your favorite part about Fort Bragg?
    A: The "everybody goes hard" atmosphere and it’s the “swole” capitol of the Army.

    Q: What is your favorite part about the 525th?
    A: There are a lot of professional growth opportunities such as schools and deployments.
