United States Marine Corps Pfc. Jack Colby from Arlington, Virginia, enlisted in the Marine Corps in December 2, 1942, and served three years in the Marine Corps.
He served with 4th Signal Company, Headquarters Battalion, 4th Marine Division as a field wireman. He fought in the battles of Guam and Iwo Jima during WWII.
