Arriving to Camp Santiago Joint Maneuver Training Center, the delegation was greeted by weapons Subject Matter Experts at the firearms simulator at the Weapon Qualification Simulation Center (WQSC). There, the weapons experts answered questions regarding logistical, management and maintenance responsibilities for training facilities similar to the WQSC. The delegation also visited the Maneuver Area of Training Equipment Site (MATES), where they acquired knowledge on maintenance and logistical operations procedures of weapons systems and tactical vehicles. The SMEs at MATES explained how continuous operations are manages through strict logistical procedures and continued maintenance of equipment.
Finally, the Soldiers were given a tour and briefing at the Non-Commissioned Officer’s Academy where PRNG NCOs are educated in leadership and supervision of Soldiers and personnel in all areas of the mission operations.
“As a Security Cooperation Program, it is our mission to build and enhance defense relationships that promote security interests, develop allied and friendly military capabilities for self-defense and multinational operations, and promote our TAG's intent which is part of the Chief of National Guard Bureau priorities for promoting and enhancing partnerships thru security cooperation engagements”, said CPT Noelia Roldan, State Partnership Program Director. “Thank you to all personnel from PTAE, CSJMTC, MATES, 201st RTI, and leadership for the outstanding support during the State Partnership Program event with the Dominican Republic delegation.”
