Scrolling down military social media pages, it’s common to find pictures of service members running, clearing rooms, or shooting up targets. All that happens during training, but what if a camera stayed up after the rifles went down?
In field conditions, Marines don’t always have access to the things they have at their home base. Boredom becomes a best friend when training ends for the day and they find themselves searching for activities to fill the time.
These in between moments -- when their “Marine mode” turns off and they just relax – are rarely seen.
The following pictures show Marines outside of their training element and what they do on their downtime. The Marines are with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, participating in Korea Explosive Ordnance Disposal Exercise.
