JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST, N.J. –Soldiers of the U.S. Army Reserve’s 365th Engineer Battalion are scheduled to participate in training here as a part of exercise Castle Installation Related Construction 2016.
“The intent of Castle IRC is to, in essence, reinforce and enhance the individual Soldier's specialty,” Lt. Col. Rick A. Ackerman, 365th commander.
The 417 Soldiers of the Schuylkill Haven, Pa., unit and its units will participate in 18 horizontal and vertical construction projects. Horizontal construction deals mainly in roadways, while vertical construction focuses on buildings. These projects will include a classroom for the Noncommissioned Officer Academy and an archery tower.
The units involved are 333rd Engineer Company of Reading, Pa.; 603rd Concrete Detachment of Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico; 358th Engineer Company of New Cumberland, Pa.; 412th Engineer Company of Scranton, Pa.; 7223rd Medical Support of Mobile, Ala.; Headquarters, Headquarters Company and Forward Support Company of Schuylkill Haven, Pa.
