CHICAGO - The U.S. Army celebrated its 233rd birthday on June 11 with a cake-cutting ceremony in Daley Plaza that featured Maj. Gen. Peter S. Cooke, Commanding General 96th Regional Readiness Command as the guest speaker. During the ceremony, Staff Sgt. Terrence House, a native of Bartlett, Ill., received the Combat Action Badge for his actions under fire while stationed in Iraq during November 2005.
