    From June 27-30, 2016, the North Carolina Army National Guard received an inspection from National Guard Bureau’s Combined Logistics Review Team (CLRT). The CLRTs mission; assess the logistics posture for the NC Guard.

    The CLRT is a comprehensive inspection conducted every three years by NGB. It ensures Guard states are in compliance with logistics regulations and validates the organizations processes and procedures for sustainment. The CLRT inspected 16 areas of logistics during its week-long stay with the NCNG.

    The North Carolina Army National Guard received an overall score of 89%.

    “The hard work and sacrifices of North Carolina National Guard’s logistics community is evident by this inspection”, said Col. Beau Cook, NC Guard’s senior logistics officer and state G-4. “We must not rest on our laurels. We will continue to improve and the efforts made by our logistics community are greatly appreciated.”

    The areas were graded on a scale of 96%-100% = Noteworthy, 85%-95% = Satisfactory, 70%-84% = Requires Improvement and < 70% = Unsatisfactory.

    The logistic areas inspected were: Command Supply Discipline Program, Unit Supply, Physical Security, Supply Support Activity (SSA), Property Book Management, Installation Maintenance Management, Unit Maintenance, Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL), Mobilization Logistics, Surface and Small Arms Repair Parts, Food Service, Hazmat and Safety, Government Purchase Cards and Central Issue Facility Management (CIF).

    Notably Echo Co., 1-130th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion received NCNG’s first ever CLRT 100 percent inspection in Unit Maintenance Management.

    There were many soldiers who went the extra-mile in preparation for the CLRT, and in so doing, received outstanding inspection grades from the NGB team. The following individuals were identified by the CLRT for commendable performance: Sgt. 1st Class Semra Leary: F Co. 230th BSB / Food Service Management, Sgt. Cleecy Richardson: HHC, 113th SUS BDE / Unit Supply, Staff Sgt. Michael Oliver: F Co. 230th BSB / Unit Supply, Spc. Klara Yakubova: HHC, 30th ABCT / FLIPL Management, Master Sgt. Delores Badger: HHD, JFHQ’s / Food Service Management and Chief Warrant Officer Two Jeremy Hassell: 449th TAB / Property Book Management and performance.
