"I wanted to write a book to help people find their purpose in life. I decided to use tools as a way to explain that. A saw’s purpose is to cut wood just as a hammer’s is to drive a nail. As I was writing, the tools evolved into characters with names and traits. That led me to gear the book toward a younger audience. Many children grow up wondering why they’re different. I'm hoping that children, especially at an early age, can realize who they are and why they're here. It's all about learning how to overcome struggles and fulfilling your purpose, which can be helpful at any age.”
