Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland -- Lt. Col. Doug McNair spoke at the St. Joan of Arc National Day of Service and Remembrance Friday at the Festival Park in Aberdeen, Maryland.
McNair, the intelligence officer for 20th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosives (CBRNE) Command, spoke to approximately 180 children, ranging from PreK to eighth grade, about patriotism.
“Participation, pride, and public service are what I consider patriotism,” said McNair. “After the tragic events of Sept. 11, it was patriotism that helped American recover and become stronger.
The Freedom Walk America Support You is an opportunity for the public to come together to recognize and remember the events of Sept. 11.
