Mighty Ninety and 20th Air Force Airmen competed in the intramural flag football championship game here, Oct. 19.
The 790th Missile Security Forces Squadron’s Tactical Response Force team faced off against a team comprised of 90th Maintenance group and 20th Air Force Airmen to determine this year’s champion. Since the 90th MXG/20th AF team was undefeated in the playoffs, the TRF team had to win two games to claim the title.
The TRF team won the first game 18-12, but the 90th MXG/20th AF team took a narrow victory in game two, with a score of 14-6, to take the championship.
Airmen from the base are now building a team to travel to the Air Force Academy Oct. 29, to compete in the Rocky Mountain Championship tournament against nearby bases. Intramural basketball is slated to start in January. For more information, call the Freedom Hall Fitness Center at 773-2304.
