FORT STEWART, Ga. - Soldiers from 3rd Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division joined Snelson-Golden Middle School students for a technology-based learning event in Hinesville, Georgia, Nov. 15.
The Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, STEM, activity included building a lego robotic car and a computer-based program, called Z Space, which allowed students to dissect a human heart.
“[STEM] helps them by teaching the kids personalized learning,” said Dennis Middleton, a teacher at Snelson-Golden Middle School who assists with the program.
3-15th IN Soldiers assisted the students with their project, a relationship that has been built through 3rd ID’s adopt-a-school program, bringing Soldiers to local students.
