REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. – During the week of Oct. 24-28, sites 112 and 113 of the CBRNE Analytical Remediation Activity (CARA) - Remediation Response West at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama commenced operations and passed the Headquarters Department of the Army Pre-Operational survey for Redstone sites.
Personnel on site received the visit of Col. Tim Greenhaw and Command Sgt. Maj. Antonio Broadnax, the command team from U.S. Army Environmental Command, on Oct. 27, whom were greeted with a demonstration of packaging and decontamination operations.
Greenhaw and Broadnax also presented coins to Soldiers from the 9th Chemical Company and 110th Chemical Battalion for their hard work.
Mr. Christopher Chesney, CARA director, took the opportunity to present awards to Mr. Mark Hammond, the new program manager for CARA-RRW, for his years of service, and to Ms. Wanda Tompkins for earning Employee of the Quarter.
