KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. -- The Triangle Track was unusually busy for a Saturday afternoon Nov 1 as the 403rd Wing Human Resources Development Council prepared to kick off the 2014 Ultimate Warrior Challenge during the November Unit Training Assembly.
Staff Sgt. Karen Moore, loadmaster/dropsonde operator for the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, organized the event and said that it's meant to build camaraderie and foster a competitive spirit and help keep members motivated while dealing with trying events like budget cuts and downsizing.
Four teams entered into the challenge. The teams were made of six members, with at least one female competing in each team. The competition was broken into seven separate team building events. Participants had to work as a team to complete 403 push-ups, a 3 mile relay run, 103 burpies, 205 sit-ups, a tire flip, a litter carry and a 400 meter team run.
The team from the 403rd Logistics Readiness Squadron made up of; Senior Airmen Adam Chopin, Anthony Feaster, Melanie Turner and Corey Crockett and Airmen First Class Michael Eddy and Ronnie Ealey; came in first place and won the wingman's trophy and bragging rights for a year. The 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron entered two teams who placed second and third.
"The event went well and I think everyone had a great time and we hope to see more teams compete next year," said Moore.
